Print Studio Technician & Educator, Athenaeum Art Center, San Diego, CA
2024–2025

  • Managed studio operations, including presses, inks, and printmaking materials, ensuring safe and inclusive access.

  • Scheduled and facilitated Open Studio (free public use of the print studio) and Members Open Studio (exclusive for Athenaeum members).

  • Developed and taught workshops: Screen Printing, Monotype, Relief Printmaking, Intro to Printmaking, Letterpress.

  • Facilitated workshops for a wide range of participants, including:

    • Disabled adults through TRACE Social Justice League

    • Formerly incarcerated youth through Designing Creative Futures

    • High school students at High Tech High

    • Unhoused K–12 youth at the Monarch School

    • College students from SDSU, Southwestern Community College, City College, and other local institutions

  • Founded and led a printmaking residency program, mentoring community artists:

  • Selected and guided Xareni Lizarraga (Monarch School partner), Christian Olid Ramirez (Designing Creative Futures), and Mayling Martinez

  • Provided one-on-one mentorship to translate artists’ current work into the language of printmaking

TOMS Partnership, Fall 2022

  • Collaborated with TOMS to design a shoe highlighting mental health access, selected by the brand for production.

  • Oversaw the full design process from concept to final approval, ensuring alignment with both artistic vision and social impact goals.

  • Coordinated with production teams and TOMS representatives to translate artwork into wearable design.

  • Used this project to engage audiences in discussions around mental health awareness through art.

    Mural & Design Projects, 2019

  • Created commissioned murals and design work for private clients, including Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag (celebrities from The Hills), produced by the MTV production company.

  • Designed merchandise and artwork incorporating motifs such as hummingbirds and crystals.
